Public
Successful awareness campaigns need the participation of all members of society. Politicians and decision makers are influenced by the general public and will shape policy based on what the public are calling for. It is vital that we all play our part in helping to raise awareness of chronic hepatitis B and C to ensure hepatitis is on the political agenda.
Because the World Hepatitis Campaign is more than just a day, you can get involved all year round! If you are interested in learning about how you can take part, contact your local patient group.
Your patient group will have more information on the activities that are planned in your country and will always welcome your help and support. There are several ways you can help. One of the ways to take part is to write to your government or health minister seeking their support for the campaign and asking them to sign up to the ‘12 Asks.’ Alternatively you can help by donating some of your time to raising the much needed funds that make local activities possible.
To keep up to date on what is going on in your country and around the world, sign up to the regular email updates from the World Hepatitis Alliance.
