With the marking of the first truly global awareness event for chronic viral hepatitis on Monday, 19th May, the World Hepatitis Alliance has kick-started the first stage of an ambitious five-year plan. We know that one day will not change the world, which is why we need to secure an ongoing support base to maintain the momentum of the 2008 campaign.

The World Hepatitis Alliance is committed to creating programmes with proper resourcing at national, regional and world levels to ensure that messages about hepatitis B and C stay out there until they reach the people who need to hear them.
